Display indicator when card stuck in queue more than X days
Some icon should show when a card hasn't moved from the current queue after more than X (board setting) days. This will help identify cards that are probably blocked, but haven't been identified as such yet. Ideas I have for an icon include: exclamation point, ellipses (...), a clock face, yellow yield sign. Feel free to choose one, it doesn't have to be selectable by project. But we do need to choose how many days (preferably business days!) a card has been in the same queue.

I agree with Chris, only show something when it's past some threshold. To keep it simple, just set a single value for the entire board. If you wanted to get more complex, maybe you could set a limit value for each lane?

Feedback on Ken:
I prefer not to overload the board with "unnecessary" info. Important is to highlight those topics that endanger the FLOW (cycle time). So I would prefer to be able to set a treshold for each of the lanes. Once a card passed the treshold, it gets marked. If you want to make it really sophisticated. Than you could start to calculate the average time a card stays in each lane based on historical data and set the treshold for each lane automatically based on an algorithm (let's say twice the average). By doing so, you have implemented an automatic way to highlight the cards that have a bad impact on your cycle time.
Chris.

I would really like this functionality as well but I would prefer if every card showed the number of days it's been in the current column rather than just an indicator of when it passes a certain threshold. Thanks!

Not trying to billboard, just had a new thought on this. Maybe this indicator could replace the Card Size display on the board? You define the project as either showing Card Size or number of days the card's been in that column/queue.
I'm just trying to make it as easy as possible to implement this functionality, by fleshing it out.
Thanks,
Stew

I just saw a comment that you were looking into indicating a card's "staleness". That's exactly what I'm talking about. I hope this works its way into the product soon. Feel free to email me if you want more details about how I'd envision this working.
