As lots of projects, ideas originates from an email conversation I would like a way to simply forward such threads to an leankit email adress that creates a card in the backlog. Then as I log into leankit i can start sorting and qualifying these ideas. Evernote have this feature that I use a lot.

Use Case #1: I'm on a plane, going through email, and I want to create an action to either put into the backlog or assign to someone's Doing column. I would just forward the email to the Kanban email address assigned to me, and it would land in the backlog or some other designated area.

Use Case #2: We use Batchbook CRM, which we track all actions for projects. Right now, we have to duplicate the actions in the Kanban, which is tedious, manual and error-prone.

Ideally, when a task is created in Batchbook, we'd just forward it to our Kanban, which now can be tracked and managed to completion. When finished, we'll log into Batchbook and close out the task.

Please let me know if you'd like more information. The absence of this feature almost resulted in choosing another tool...

I'd like to see the items marked higher priority automatically float towards the top of a lane. Even better is to give user options to auto sort by priority, due date, size, type, or assigned user.

This is similar to existing idea to display indicator when card is stuck. But instead of an indicator, I would prefer to have number of days be shown. So if it's been stuck for 5 days, show 5 days, if 20 days, show 20 days. Another advanced feature would be to only show this number, if the card been stuck for more than x days, and you can set that x day parameter.

Weak marketing of free version [updated]

I had to search around to find out that there was a free version for personal/small teams. I wanted to try the tool with a client, but need a free version to get started otherwise all this BS about approvals and tool selection that will kill it right there. Anyway, I kept on seeing "30 day trial" but nothing to tell me about free personal/small team version. IMHO this is a critical segment to market to since this will lead to long term sales as well as self-defining prospects for upgrades. My suggestion is to make this more visible to drive increased usage.

I know we have the history function that has list of updates of the cards. However, what will be really intersting is to be able to see this visually. So when you click on view history, you pretty much stay in the kanban board, but you can rewind and forward days, and view what the state of the board was on that given day. I think this is inline with the concept of Kanban that most things visual are better. Visual history is better than CSV files.

However, the default chart generation is often not usable because chart generation settings - such as, use card sizes, start date, end date, lanes include/exclude, lanes collapse/uncollapse etc. have to be set every time a chart is generated. These settings should be rather board settings defaulted to all users, rather than having to set every time by every user (and at the same time expecting them all to know what to set, in first place). In similar manner, the charts, with the right generation settings, are not currently reachable via URL, making them very hard to share as well (e.g. include in reports).

Can you use a more advanced color editor? The colors available grate on the eyes a bit and more options would be very nice :)

When I make a change to a board I don't care to receive email notifications about it. It makes it hard for me to find only the changes other people have made

Something wizard like would be a lot easier. In my case, first I had a url that started with a number. Then I mistyped my password (Should be able to check that with javascript).

There is no Undo feature. This can be real annoying when you realize that you’ve just dragged a bunch of stories from the “Demo” column into the “Backlog” instead of the “Archive”.

Let me pick among title, due date, priority, owner, etc. Let me set a default per account, and per board, per lane (?) and then override it on each card.

I can't seem to create an account. When I type in my email address which works fine on the web and I have set up a personal kanban board, the save button stays greyed out. The Organizations input field is greyed out also and says "No organizations yet found". I don't seem to have a button to add my organization.

Adjust and lock the depth of Swimlanes across all vertical lanes. This will tidy up the board when multiple swimlanes are in use with varying numbers of cards in each lane. Flow, from left to right, should be easily visible when using swimlanes, this is not the case when the size/depth of the swimlanes "snap-to" the number of cards on the board.

This is important to us as well. We are using the Kanban board in a mixed business management and production management workflow. Some feature concepts start in the exec meetings and I create cards to research these features and assign them for cost/feasibility/marketing studies, etc. What would be great is for all that history to be saved and then transferred to the development group for implementation along with all the notes along the way. We would also get an end-to-end way of looking at feature development.

I signed up for a trial and got an email suggesting I check out some of the reporting features. When I went to http://leankitkanban.zendesk.com/entries/20263743-analytics-overview the links for the diagrams were all showing error / page not found. Can you please fix the links.
